The location provided easy access to the island's attractions. It met my basic needs for exploring.
The outdated spa villa was not up to par. Mould was present in the cabinets, so blankets had a strong, musty smell and i found the air conditioning units were visibly dirty. external ac unit caused constant vibrations, therefore, it was impossible to sleep properly for three nights.

Good Base for Island Exploration

convenient locationnatural surroundingsgood mealsexcellent pizza
This resort is convenient for exploring the island. The resort is well kept and blends seamlessly into the natural surroundings. Restaurants offer good meals and variety. I did enjoy the takeaway pizza one night (it was excellent!).
This did limit my swimming options, but there were other pools available.
Service

They arranged Illumina and early dinner. Tammy on the ferry was also wonderful. She offered help and was lovely to speak with during the journey.
Rooms
8/10
The room had spacious layout and was very quiet. This made for peaceful evenings. I did find the kettle useful (I'm a big tea drinker). The king bed was very comfortable.
Facilities

The buffet breakfast was excellent, with well-organized service. I liked the poolside service (a nice touch on a hot day). The Beauty Spot tour was good value with included lunch and afternoon tea.

Grateful for Clean Pools and Sunset Views

wallum environmentbeach sunsetlovely poolsnoring guest
I found the Wallum environment of the resort very special. I also liked enjoying sunsets at the beach each day with wine and cheese. Many activities exist including free ones you can do. Pool areas were lovely, quiet, and relaxing.
I would have liked a non-connected room. The next door guest was snoring like a bear.
Facilities
9/10
The pools are large and clean with seating around them. The reception has a high domed roof, airy spaces, wood flooring, and bird calls. A gym includes three treadmills and two stationary bikes.
Dining
8/10
Dining was easy at the Sand and Wood or Dune restaurants. Breakfast include varied options, catering to different dietary needs. The bars offer afternoon drinks, quite pleasant, as well as nice ambiances.
Location
10/10
The adventure starts with the ferry ride to the island. The water is clear and clean as you approach the jetty. The resort is nestled in bushland which makes it eco friendly, offering privacy.

the illumina show was great. the rooms had everything i needed. i found the swimming pools to be great facilities and the restaurant choices acceptable.
the cabin lacked privacy, with people walking around it constantly. i seemed like i was in a fish bowl. the food options were a real letdown and the coffee, apart from the general store, was abysmal.
